How to always show the Google Chrome bookmark bar

Use Chrome settings or a keyboard shortcut to display the bookmarks bar

You may notice that the Google Chrome bookmarks bar suddenly disappears and is not accessible. If you’re just importing all your bookmarks into Chrome, it won’t be very helpful to suddenly lose access to all your favorite links.

You may lose track of the bookmark bar after the webpage has loaded or run some of your keyboard keys. Fortunately, there’s an easy way to make sure your bookmarks always appear at the top of Chrome.

How to show Chrome’s bookmarks bar

The bookmarks bar can be turned on and off on a Windows computer using the mouse, or the Ctrl + Shift + command + Shift + B keyboard shortcuts.

Here’s what to do if you ‘re using an older version of Chrome :

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click or tap the main menu button, represented by three dots at the top right of the browser window.
  3. When the drop-down menu appears, select Settings .

  4. Identify the Appearance section, which contains an optional label, always show the bookmarks bar by a checkbox . To make sure the bookmark bar always appears in Chrome, even after you’ve loaded a webpage, place a check by clicking this box once.
    1. To disable this feature at a later time, simply remove the check mark.

One way is to select the bookmarks option from Chrome’s main menu , so that a sub-menu appears with all your bookmarks, as well as a number of related options.
